Random Tools

About

What this site is and how it works.

A collection of simple, fast random tools that run entirely in your browser.

No accounts. No tracking of your inputs. Results are generated on your device.

Built for quick decisions, classrooms, games, testing, and everyday randomness.

All tools share the same clean design and work on mobile and desktop.

Who built this. Random Tools is a small personal project built and maintained by Lyra, a developer who got tired of landing on ad-farm pages every time they searched for a simple randomiser. The goal was straightforward: a handful of tools that do one thing each, load fast, and do not ask for an email address before letting you roll a die.

Why. The site exists because the alternatives were consistently worse — cluttered, slow, or both. The tools here cover the everyday cases: picking a winner, rolling dice, generating passwords, shuffling a list, drawing a card, deciding yes or no. Each one is a standalone page so it can be bookmarked, shared, or linked directly.

Privacy stance. Everything runs client-side. Your inputs — names, lists, numbers, passwords — are processed in your browser and never transmitted elsewhere. No analytics of the inputs are collected. The only external request on page load is the Google AdSense Auto-ads script, which is the site's only source of revenue.

Free utilities. All tools on the site are free to use. There is no premium tier, no paywall, and no feature that is locked behind an account. If a tool is on the site, it is free.

Contact. If something is broken, a tool is missing, or you have a suggestion, the best way to reach the maintainer is through the site's contact channel. Feedback on what people actually use is what drives new tools and fixes.
